1. Description of the Service
Mail Swip is a mobile application that connects to your Gmail account to help you triage your inbox. It uses an on-device AI model to classify, categorize, and summarize emails. All email processing happens locally on your device.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Mail Swip. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Account and Access
- You sign in using your Google account via OAuth 2.0
- You grant Mail Swip permission to read and modify your Gmail messages through Google's API (
gmail.readonlyandgmail.modifyscopes) - You can revoke access at any time via your Google Account permissions
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and Google account
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app or its AI model
- Use the app to send spam, phishing, or other unsolicited messages
- Interfere with or disrupt the app's functionality or infrastructure
5. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to Mail Swip, including its design, code, AI models, and branding, are owned by Mail Swip. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
6. Email Actions
When you swipe to trash an email, the action is applied to your Gmail account via the Gmail API. Trashed emails are recoverable for 30 days in Gmail's trash folder, consistent with Google's standard behavior. Mail Swip is not responsible for emails permanently deleted by Gmail after this period.
7. Beta Disclaimer
Mail Swip is currently in beta. This means:
- The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- Features may change, break, or be removed without notice
- The AI model may occasionally miscategorize emails
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mail Swip and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, missed emails, or incorrectly categorized messages.
9. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. You may stop using the app at any time by signing out and deleting it from your device.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of the app shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France.
